Jody & I always enjoy the christmas cards we receive in the mail each year...and we always have wanted to send cards out--last year we talked about it...this year we actually set up our tripod and took pictures for a card but did not get them printed in time--SO maybe next year we will actually complete the process and send them out. =) Here are some of the pictures we took and would have been sending out as our 2007 Christmas card. Merry Christmas 2007!! The Cash Family has been enjoying the month of December-- we have been trying our best to "catch" the Christmas spirit despite the obnoxiously warm temperatures in Texas. I think it is safe to say we will NOT be having a white Christmas-- oh well. Here is how we have been celebrating the Holiday season so far:

Josiah playing under the Christmas tree with his Little People Manger Set...we are always having to tell him to be more respectful because he likes to chew on Baby Jesus' head and bang him on the ground--I guess that is similar to how He is treated by most of us...Thank you Lord for grace and always forgiving and loving us despite how we treat you. I am so undeserving of Him...He always takes me back no matter what--Now that is a REAL Christmas gift. This morning Josiah woke up with his 1st two bottom teeth poking out!! Very cute! That's all he wanted for Christmas anyways... =)

5 Months Old....& VERY Squirmy

I turned 5 months old a few days ago & don't like to sit still anymore...I kept rolling over while mommy tried to change my diaper, so she just put it on my head instead. Daddy & I thought it was funny!

Surgery...Take Two...It's a Wrap!!

We have success!! We again made our way to Temple last Friday and Josiah now has a free and floppy tongue!! We had a couple of difficult days of relearning how to nurse properly but everything is looking up now and Josiah did great! We had our post-op visit today and the Dr. said his tongue looks fine. Hopefully now our little squirt will get big and fat! =)

Surgery...Take One...

Today we got up at 4:30 am to get to S&W hospital in Temple for Josiah's surgery to have his "tongue clipped" since he is tongue tied and having feeding/growing issues. After a very early morning (and not being able to feed josiah before going under anesthesia) we got to the hospital to begin pre-op procedures only to find Josiah had a temp. which was just significant enough to cause the surgeon and anesthesiologist to come to our room for an extra evaluation. After some debate, we decided it would be best to wait on the surgery to be on the safe side. SOOO....we are hoping to reschedule for this coming Friday. Thanks to those who have been praying...one of my biggest worries was that Josiah had to be fasting and I figured he would be screaming the entire trip from Waco to Temple but he actually fell right asleep and was quite pleasant. Praises.

1st Trip to the Bowling Alley

We took Josiah on his 1st trip to the bowling alley....he loved staring at the black lights and disco balls but he is still needs work on his game.

Grant got a little play time. It was cute, but Josiah was a little cranky & I am not sure Grant knew what to think of such a loud squaking creature! =)

Toes! How Delightful!!

Yesterday morning, while Jody and I were eating breakfast I could hear Josiah sucking and going to town on something...I assumed he was eating his hands (a favorite pastime) but when I looked down I saw he was eating his toes!! He now has a strong preference for toe sucking and it is hilarious! Babies are so much fun!

Happy 3 Months!

josiah is 3 months old today!

i can't believe it...time is really flying by. he is our special little man & has my heart strings tied to him already. he is a little booger but awfully strong! he is ready for the races and seems to gets frustrated when he can't quite accomplish something he wants to do...adorable. he is really a go getter...squirming & rolling all over his play mat...i think we well need to have our running shoes on to keep up with him!

3) Toys...its been a new discovery the past couple weeks that toys are actually fun!

4) Smiling and talking to mommy & daddy

5) Refusing tummy time by rolling from his Tummy to his back (started at 2 months! the booger...)

6) He is almost 3 months now and I caught him on video just today rolling from his back to his tummy and then getting mad that he could not get his right arm out from under his chest....he's cute when he's frustrated!

Happy 4th of July!!

Josiah celebrated his 1st 4th of July (one of Jessica's favorite holidays)! We went to our neighborhood Mountainview parade and plan to participate next year. We are shooting for the title of "Most Patriotic Stroller/Wagon". =)

We also celebrated with the city of Waco with a picnic at Indian Springs Park. We listened to music, enjoyed the booths and watched a great fireworks show! (Somehow Josiah slept through the fireworks...I guess the cotton in the ears actually works!) It was fun to have some family with us to celebrate too!

The wedding was hosted at my cousin Tami's house in Austin...the highlights: watching the processional down the very beautiful staircase, the reception, & salsa dancing. Congrats Rob & Sabri....it was fun!
